Welcome to Rights & Roofs!

Hello and thank you for visiting Rights & Roofs. I’m Yvonne, and I started this blog to share a deeply personal journey that’s both heart-wrenching and potentially eye-opening. An 8 year employment experience that took a devastating turn when I became entangled in a legal dispute that has significantly impacted my life. My story is about more than just saving a home—it’s about standing up for rights that are said to be inviolable, enforced and protected.

It all began with fraud allegations leveled against my then employer, First National bank of Namibia Ltd. A re-advance application for N$60,000.00 in the name of Ms. Kahatjipara, Fraud division, Windhoek (Whk CR 13/11/2017). This matter is currently still under dispute before the High Court of Namibia (Case No: HC-MD-CIV-ACT-CON-2019/05422). I found myself constructively dismissed in May 2021; false arrest, malicious prosecution and unlawful inprisonment in July 2021 and faced with foreclosure threats in Nov 2022.

Every step of the way, tussliing with unexpected legal challenges for procedurally and sunstantialy fair labor treatment in all instances, for freedom of movement and right to make my own decisions, care for myself and my offspring, defend my innocence and unrestraint abuse of power by police and judicial system and physical, mental & spititual abuse at the hands of these three seperate, powerful entities, tested my resolve and commitment.

It was a journey filled with sleepless nights, relentless paperwork, and countless hours of legal research. But through it all, I discovered the profound strength of perseverance and the critical importance of knowing and defending one’s rights.

Current situation: Ongoing, Exhausting, Draining, Sad...so very sad.

The trauma: Was there and still here..I don't think it passes, time does.

Our homes are more than just structures; they are repositories of our memories, our values, and our identity. Protecting them is not just about bricks and mortar—it’s about safeguarding the essence of who we are. The fight to preserve our home is more than just a legal challenge; it’s a fight for our history, our future, and our peace of mind. By sharing our ongoing journey, I hope to shed light on the realities of dealing with unresolved legal issues. I hope to empower others to stand firm in their struggles and to advocate for their rights.

Thank you for following our story and for standing with us as we continue this difficult fight. Your support and solidarity mean more than words can express.

With enduring hope and resolve,

YSE~
